Eight years have passed since the events of the first BioShock, and Raptures denizens have rallied into a collectivist cult. The only cons I can think of are the fact that the game starts through the 2k launcher (haven't had any problems with it yet, but clicking run 2 times in order to open a game gets annoying after a while) and that you don't really see the characters too often (you only see one of your allies like twice and the second time you won't even recognize him).įor my final thoughts: I give the game 9.5/10 (dashing with the drill is a lot more fun than I expected). See Rapture through the eyes of Subject Delta, a fearsome Big Daddy prototype on a life-or-death mission to rescue his missing Little Sister. You can go for different playstyles thanks to the variety of plasmids and weapons in the game, ranging from a coward that sends an avatar to injure the enemies before going there themselves, to a puppeteer who lets his robots do the heavy lifting, you can snipe from a distance or get up close and personal, you can lay traps, go for it like a traditional shooter or have a combination of these things. The evil endings are kind of meh for the most part, but one of the neutral endings is one of the best I've seen in games to this day and left me taking a moment to compose myself. BioShock 2 Remastered 2K PS4 19.99 Included 19. The good endings look like the intended ones for canon purposes and they're beautiful in their own right. The story is decent, probably hard to put all the pieces together in the first playthrough, but it gets easier in the second one when you try to explore more and find the diaries you missed, you'll have 4 main choices (2 of which are very much debatable if they're good or bad) and depending on them you'll get one of the possible ending. I'm surprised this game doesn't receive as much praise as the first Bioshock, sure the first one has an arguably better story and one of the best plot twists in video games, but Bioshock 2 is much better as a game with all its quality of life improvements (hacking minigame, reduced number of medkits and eve dispensers, wielding a weapon and a plasmid at the same time and making combos with them etc.).
